“Ambie” is the latest Pine 9 Fishing Rod Holster. New Hampshire factory produced, Ambie is designed to be reversible for left or right hip, and is temporarily only available in Tactical Black, Ghost Grey, and Flat Dark Earth.

Hand Crafted version, many colors are available. Our hand crafted holsters take a considerable amount of time and material costs in comparison, because they are all individually heated, formed, cut, shaped, lasered, milled, sanded, polished, LocTite, and completely assembled in Nashua New Hampshire. All other parts and materials and metal parts are proudly fabricated right here in the United States of America as well. Quality ~ NOT CRAP.

Yes! Bait casters do not lock in place like the spinning rods do, but as long as the grip behind your rod is more than 5 inches long, the convenient angle of the holster will keep your rod in place even if you bend over and touch the ground. See this video

For fly rods, you only need about 3 inches of hand grip behind the reel as the fly rod reel will slide into the notch. See this video

With Ambie, we recommend using a belt because the clips are durable plastic, yet a little flexible. Both Ambie & the hand crafted model work excellent with molle belts and gear too! For the Hand Crafted model, we chose a specific metal belt clip that is firm, thin, and will reliably attached to basket ball shorts, swimming trunks, sweatpants, and jeans without needing a belt too!

Many people do! (Hand Crafted Model Only) It is in fact designed to accommodate both fresh water and a few light weight salt water spinning reels. However, it is important to note that our fishing rod holsters are not designed, nor intended to be used with the line in the water, especially saltwater. Our Fishing Rod Holster is specifically designed to be used as a third helping hand when removing weeds, unhooking fish, applying new bait, and untangling line, holding fish and using pliers – to name just a few of the many times you need to set your rod down during your fishing trip. See this video

These holsters will fit most straight handle grip fishing rods. Please note that some handle grips may not work with these holsters such as; pistol grip handles, poles that have knobs or cork butts at the end of the grip that are greater than 1 and 3/8 inches or 3.493 cm in diameter. Please be sure your item will fit before purchasing.

Nope. We’ve designed our Fishing Rod Holster so that the locking notch allows the arm of the reel to rest at an angle to accommodate the reel handle for either side.

It is possible, but may take quite a while since the hardware used is zinc coated stainless steel. To date, there have been no reports of rusting, however, we now offer a zinc coated version of the metal belt clips for the hand crafted model if you choose to add to your order. The Ambie version does not have hardware.

The Hand Crafted Model is our original design, and the Ambie design is our latest factory manufactured model. Both versions offer the exact same functionality with two exceptions. Ambie is a light duty freshwater fishing rod holster. Ambie is also short for Ambidextrous, which means you can swap the parts to configure the holster to be positioned on left or right hip. The Ambie version is an excellent starter holster that let’s you really experience all the benefits of our design at an affordable price in comparison to our advanced, heavier duty Hand Crafted Model. Our Hand Crafted Model requires much more effort to create, as well as a much higher cost of materials in comparison to the Ambie. See all the model comparisons in this video!

The price differences between the Hand Crafted textures and patterns is due to how it’s made, and there are trademarked proprietary patterns that comes at additional costs.

You can cancel your order at anytime before a shipping label has been completed. If a shipping label has been created, and the item has been shipped, the shipping charge is non-refundable and will need to proceed as a return.

Returned items must be fully intact and undamaged. Once the item has been returned to our facility, a refund will be issued within 1-2 business days, and the Payment Processor (ie. PaypPal, Stripe, Square, etc.) may also have an inherent delay in payout, typically an additional 2-5 business days depending on service used. In our experience, it is nearly always sooner or instant.

If you want to return your unused, still in packaging Ambie holster for one of our Hand Crafted models, please do the following:

1. Order the Hand Crafted holster that you wanted.
2. Make note of the new order number, and include a note of exchange with both the original Ambie order number, and the new Hand Crafted order number so we can be sure we have the right information.

The Ambie Holsters are covered by a 30 day warranty. If you are unhappy with fit or need an exchangeable part of the holster, just notify us for a return, refund, exchange, or part exchange/replacement within the 30 days from the purchase.

Returned Hand Crafted Holsters must not be damaged from use and in-tact for restocking.

RESTOCKING FEE
All items are subject to a 10% restocking fee of the product listing for processing and original shipping materials, that will be deducted from your refund.
